How did you ease back into normal life?

I am 12 days post op, LSH. Feeling more normal each day. I would love to know how you eased back into your life? I am wondering how long I need to stay away from driving? going to the grocery store? caring for my 7 month old, etc? All the "little" things we do each day...

I know we only have one time to heal...would love to know how to not mess that up and get back into life too soon.

Hi jjrsc, Aside from following the doctors orders, just let your body be your guide. Believe me it will tell you when you do too much. I was given the okay to drive after 2 weeks and went back to work at my desk job after 3 weeks. I'm 51 so have no small children to take care of so I can't really help you there. Hope you have a successful journey back to normalcy! Hugs!

I agree, your body will tell you. I am almost 6 weeks and tried to clean my whole house this past weekend. After a few hours my body told me to definitely stop and rest. After a couple of hours with my feet up and just resting, I had more energy.
Just listen to your body and if you have further questions, always call your dr.
