Pelvic pain behind belly button

I am new to this forum and came looking for some answers myself. I had a TAH on 11/14 and have had abdominal/pelvic pain behind my belly button when I urinate. At the post op visit, the surgeon sent me for a urine test and another Blood count. It showed an infection of some sort so he put me on an antibiotic. Tomorrow will be day 7 and it hasn't cleared up, the pain is still there. In addition, I'm suffering from severe lower back pain, above my right hip in the back. This is debilitating, I cannot get out of bed w/out help. Ideas? Thoughts? I'll let the Dr. know I am not experiencing relief from the antibiotics, but the lower back pain I'm not sure if it's related

Re: possible bladder infection from foley?

Dear Queenkitty, It could be possible bladder infection because the bladder sat behind the uterus. Sounds like pressure from that maybe. I have gotten a staph infection b4 from this same hospital plus my 1st ever bladder infection! Will keep you posted! Prayers and Blessings sister!

Re: possible bladder infection from foley?

I will call the Dr. tomorrow as the antibiotics have not completed stopped the pain when I urinate and will mention the back pain. I feel better some days but the last 5-7 days have been really bad getting out of bed/lower back pain.
