Have you tried these things yourself? I would love to hear any success you have with them, I have been pretty miserable lately with the hot flashes,

Re: I am having major hot flashes-but I don't want HRT-any herbs?
I have used the Phyto-Prolief before and I got the go ahead from my doc today to begin using it again tonight.
The other 2 suggestions that I listed are from my book that I have and I have researched them. The book that I have is called Prescription for nutritional healing. I have had the book for years and I refer to it on a regular basis. They have made many updates to the book and I am in the process of getting another one.
The book lists all of the herbs and minerals in one section and in another section it lists ailments that can be helped with the herbs and minerals. In the section listing the ailments, it lists the ailments according to names (menopause, bi-polar, ADD, ADHD, chron's disease etc) and how much and how often to take them. It also lists foods to eat and ones to avoid. I find it very helpful.
I, like you, do not like taking prescription medications but when needed I do take them.
I hope that this helps!
