Angry and anxious

I was supposed to have my LAVH yesterday I was at the castle hooked up to my IV in my gown when the anesthesiologist informed me she wouldn't allow the surgery to happen. Long story short I lost the vision in my right eye for 5 min. in January my doc ordered some tests went to the eye doc they found nothing, however they didn't order an echo of my heart and I'm told they should have. There is a lot of afib in my family also so I was sent home! Angry and upset. I have to have the echo before I have surgery and the earliest appointment they say the have is May 29th so I argued and they are trying to make it sooner. My OB is due to have a baby July1st so she will not be operating after the end of May. So I am going to have to go through all the anxiety again before surgery. I will post again when we reschedule it. I can't believe my OB's office didn't notify my docs office that I was having surgery. No communication there.

So sorry you were sent home, but so glad the anesthesiologist caught this detail and halted the surgery. Everything happens for a reason, so in your case this may have saved your life! Try to look as this as a good thing! I'd be frustrated and angry too, so your definitely not wrong with those feelings and emotions! Best of luck to you getting rescheduled!
