Hi, I'm also in over achievement mode in between the sweats. We're the same age and my surgery is Oct,10. So you're having hot flashes too, honestly I sweat at the drop of a hat. Do you think we are into menapause now before surgery? I tell my daugh. all the time I think I'm going to spontainiously errupt into flame- Ha Ha Ha

Anyone else in pre-op overachievement mode?

I have enjoyed reading these posts about "overachieving" before surgery. : ) Let me tell you from experience, it is ALL worth it!!!!! COMPLETELY worth it! All of those preparations, the attention to detail, the numerous lists, the hours of cleaning, cooking, shopping, packing, etc...all of these things will pay off in the end! The best thing that I did for myself before surgery was to prepare! I read every "what to bring to the hospital" list that I could find on this board and I tried as hard as I could to buy what I needed and to prepare my recovery room at home, etc. Personally, looking back, I don't think that there is such a thing as "too prepared". You can never be completely prepared because everyone's experiences are different, so your "to do" list will be different from everyone else's...but I can definately say that my preparations before my hyster were KEY to my comfort and recovery from surgery!! SO LADIES, let the overachieving begin!! LOL. If you need any help in your preparation efforts, feel free to PM me...not like you need any more "stuff" on your plate...LOL. God bless.

My surgery is tomorrow and I just don't have the energy to clean the house. I've done the washing and ironing, stripped the beds and food shopping. DD can do the rest.
