Re: Poll: If you take prescription HRT, what kind do you take?

I take one Premarin (.65 mg) a day and it has really helped me since my surgery with the hot flashes and night sweats. Not so much with the chills that make my teeth chatter but much rather have that problem then the hot flashes and night sweats.

Re: Poll: If you take prescription HRT, what kind do you take?

Hi all, My Dr. switched me to the Evamist 1.53 mg. This contains 56 sprays. I am not sure that I like it for the fact that I keep forgetting to use it at the same time. I too am 42 she said that the I can regulate the mist to up to three sprays a day. This is a sample so I don't know the cost. I am only doing one for now and it seems to be working. I was on the patch which I liked. The Vaginal cream that I used with the patch gave me headaches. Dr. advise me to switch meds. Now I inject a tiny pill twice a week.

Re: Poll: If you take prescription HRT, what kind do you take?

I take 1 mg of norethinindrone (progesterone) daily. I have endo and can't take estrogen for at least 6 months post op. I noticed a decrease in hot flashes and mood swings (not all gone though) since taking the progesterone. My body does miss the estrogen, thinning hair, bone and muscle pain; but I don't miss 3 weeks of abdominal/pelvic pain and headaches every month.

Re: Poll: If you take prescription HRT, what kind do you take?

After about 6-12 months of trying different combos I found the vivelle dot and compounded testosterone to be the magic combo. It's been 5 years and all is well unless I forget to renew my prescription!
