Fire down below!!!

I have burning and swelling around my vagina and vulva. I see no discharge and there is not any smell, just burning and faint pink on TP when I wipe. I've tried baths with baking soda and various creams. NO LUCK. My GYN is 40 miles from my house and I just went there Monday for a checkup. I'm 5 weeks post TAH. All was well then, I didn't get this "issue" until Tuesday evening. I'm really feeling the burn and it seems to be getting worse! I can't imagine what could have caused this; NOTHING has been in that vicinity in months. Any suggestions? I do have one ovary incase that makes any difference.

Thanks,

Flaming on in Oklahoma

Shari

Fire down below!!!

Hi Shari;

The first thing that came to my mind is a yeast infection. They can cause itching and burning on the vagina.

Other then that I don't know what it could be.

Can you at least do a phone consult with your doctor and get an idea of what it might be, You may have to go in and have it looked at. (Unless you can go to a clinic or ER).

Best wishes to you! I hope you are able to find some relief soon!

Let us know how you are!

Sounds like a yeast infection to me also.I've never had one, but my Mom gets them all the time.....and the things you're discribing sound like what she gets.Good luck and I pray it's nothing serious.I would call your Dr and talk to him about it.
