Did anyone go NO HRT after hysterectomy?

Oh great..lol, with estrogen being stored in fat cells and me being 100 lbs over weight............that means I could start these symptoms then at a much later time?????? Anyone over weight and noticed stored estrogen got them through their symptoms post surgery better??? humm, maybe being over weight is going to have one advantage huh? lol. I'm curious now about this.

Hugs

Did anyone go NO HRT after hysterectomy?

my total hysterectomy was done in april of 2005. I have not been on any HRT. To date I have not experienced any hot flashes or night sweats. my doctor said that if I felt fine he didn't see any reason to go on HRT. I do take calcium and multi vitiams. and I feel fine.

Did anyone go NO HRT after hysterectomy?

Hi sisters,

Well, I had my surgery 10 days ago, and so far so good....no hot flashes and no night sweats...and no moodiness. I do realize estrogen is stored in fat cells and my being overweight may be helping this right now. I know it could begin at a later date, but for now I am happy I have not meno symptoms and am still no hrt, which I plan on staying that way even if the flashes begin...I plan when healed to start exercising to help with bones.

Good luck to you all and thanks for keeping this thread going so well...I know it is helping me and so many others!!!!

Hugs, love and prayers!
