Red face - Newly diagnosed adenocarcinoma and squamous Newly diagnosed adenocarcinoma and squamous

Newly diagnosed with adenocarcinoma a couple of weeks ago. Had my cone biopsy on tuesday, got the results yesterday..>good news...no cancer yet...but my margins were not clear in teh squamous precancer and it was barely a step below cancer...said there was dysplasia and high grade changes. Now waiting for the cone biopsy to clear up and heal so I can get eh hysterectomy in October....I am stressing out...so many questions...glad I found this site...so scared about having a hysterectomy....

Went to the gyno for a pap to discuss why my husband and I had been trying to concieve for 3 years with no luck.....only to discover adenocarcinoma with the treatment of a hysterectomy....it has been a horrible emotional rollercoaster...but I have two beautiful boys at home to think about. my mom died of cervical and ovarian cancer when I was 13, I cant let that happen to them.

Re: Newly diagnosed adenocarcinoma and squamous

You've joined a wonderful community where you can share support, information and experiences with women who truly can relate.

There's helpful information in the Pre-Op Page to browse through prior to your surgery, and you can start new threads on the Pre-Op message board to ask questions and to ask for support from pre- and post-op Sisters. If you have questions about your diagnosis, the wonderful Sisters in the Cancer Concerns forum are the best ones to ask, so feel welcome to start a thread there. Also, we have a forum called Aching Hearts where you can get special support and understanding from those who can share from personal experience about the emotional impact of surgery.

Best wishes for your surgery and recovery!
