LAVH I'm LOSING It!

The last two days have been so difficult. And I think it is due to surgical menopause. I had a LAVH with my last ovary removed.

Yesterday I woke up, went into the kitchen where hubby was. He showed me a bill I had gotten in the morning mail for my colonoscopy. $1200 just for the doctor and anesthesiologist fees. I immediately burst into tears and cried hysterically.

Then today, I woke, and felt better and thought it was going to be a good day. Shorly after, I get a call telling me my beloved kitty (to me no other like him) was just killed by my friend's 3 dogs. Hysterically crying again. Then hubby comes in, shows me that I got a bounced check notice in the mail. Crying gets worse. Inconsolable from those two events.

For the past 2 days, I have felt down, depressed, feeling like no one truly cares, emotional, out of control, feeling as if my life has very little purpose. Our financial situation is crappy. I have creditors (medical bills) breathing down my neck. I want to say it is surgical menopause hitting (I'm having a few hot flashes). I just feel hopeless. My husband says I do not have to go back to work but I feel like other working women will judge me if I decide to stay at home. The bad part of that is I do not want to return to work. I do not want to be around people. I do not want to leave the house.

I had to quit the job I had in order to have this surgery because my employer would not offer me insurance. So this would be so my income would be low enough to qualify for charity care. So much good that did. I still have to find a way to pay the anesthesia and doctor fees.

Thank you for letting me vent this here. I've been about to explode and I think I am driving my DH crazy (first sign, he tells me I have to pull myself together). I can't take HRT for 3 months, so I'm just having to deal with all this the best I can.

oh sweetie i am super sorry about your meow meow, thats what i call our kitty. bills will always be there but its the stuff like our pets who hit us worse. yes this time off is for you to recover and reinvent yourself. that is how i look at it. i am quitting my low paying job because i got the insurance out of it and am going into business for myself finally
we too are faced with repo's, stuff turned off. but stuff gets paid, turned on and so forth. please cry and mourn for your little furry baby. it makes me sad too. just concentrate on you.
