I'm a princess!!

My TAH/LSO was Dec 1. My hospital stay was really bad. THe Dr finally agreed to let me come home on Dec 2 because he knew I had lots of help. I'm still in lots of pain. I'm drinking ALOT, so I'm walking often to the bathroom. I'm very swollen, partly from the surgey and partly due to gas. I still haven't had a BM. I'm eating a bland soft diet so I can wake up my digestive tract gently ) I'm alternating Tylox and Ibuprofen every 3 hours. I'll be glad when the swelling goes down and the pain slacks off.

Congrats on being a Princess! I had my surgery Nov 26th so I am not far ahead of you. The gas thing really has been bothering me also. I have been doing as much walkin as I can, but the getting my bowels working and regular is taking its toil on me. I think Ihave tried every med going!

All the best to you and a speedy recovery!

Welcome to the post-op sisterhood. So sorry your hospital stay was not a good experience, but hopefully you can get your needed rest and attention in the comfort of your own home.

You are in my thoughts for a speedy recovery.
