EIGHT years later and pain?!!

It's just not fair! I had a hysterectomy (kept ovaries) in 2000 due to extreme pelvic pain and excessive bleeding. No Endometreosis found, I guess I was just a bleeder.

Now, EIGHT blooming years later the pelvic pain is back with a fury. I had an ultrasound two weeks ago, and it showed a small cyst on my left ovary. Right one is fine, but that's where all the pain is emitting from.

???Huh??

My new gyno. is suggesting exploratory Lapo. surgery. He said today, "Well, givien you've had an abdominal hysterectomy, there WILL be scar tissue there that can be removed."

He also said, though, that scar tissue (adhesions?) don't really cause a lot of pain.

What to do? I've been on a heating pad for a month now as the pain is so bad.

Will having the surgery make matters worst?

Just wondering....

EIGHT years later and pain?!!

My gyno told me that sometimes pain mimicks itself from one side to another...in other words if you are having pain on the right, it could actually be your left ovary where the problems are. And...adhesions DO HURT!!
