May have to go back in after SAH and remove cervix. :(

I had a SAH in mid July...lots of complications after...incisional infection, UTI, had to self cath.....

My surgeon is beyond excellent. I have full confidence in her. However, I am looking at possibly having to go back in and have my cervix removed. Should that decision be made she will try it vaginally first. If that does not work, she will have to use a small incision. (regular hyster was 7 inch one)
It seems I can never do anything easy.
This has only happened once in her 15 years of practicing medicine. She felt like that was because she left too much of the cervix. That is not the case for me, however.

Anyone else out there in this set of circumstances?

I just found out today that I have to have another surgery. My TVH was 7/19, and at my 6 wk post op they said I had granulation on my internal incision, and treated it with silver nitrate in the office. But, now I'm about 14 wks out and still have spotting and pain, so I went back in, and he said the growth on my incision had gotten considerably bigger, and he didn't think it was a granulation issue now. He's not 100% sure what is going on, so he's going to have to look at things from above to figure it out.

They will remove the growth, fix whatever is causing the issue if they can find it, and then re-stitch my internal incision.

I'm so FRUSTRATED and disappointed. I was hoping by this far out, I wouldn't even be thinking about my surgery anymore.

What are the issues you are having that make her think too much cervix was left?

I am so sorry you are going to have to go through this! That stinks! She doesn't think she left too much of my cervix. She said that is what happened the firt time she had to go back in with one of her patients...like 14 years ago. We aren't at all sure what is causing my bleeding\ spotting. I just want to be done with it once and for all.
She is frustrated because she considers all her surgeries very personal. When is your surgery going to be?
