2 week post op

Hi ladies! This is one happy girl writing this! Went to my 2 week visit and my doctor said she was impressed with how well I'm healing! I even remembered all my questions to ask her. She said she was going to prescribe me a sleep aid for my insomnia although when I went to get it from the pharmacy it wasn't there so I have to call on Monday to see what happened but in the mean time I'm going to use OTC sleep aids. I hope tonight ill be able to sleep! I was also cleared to take baths again! Hello tub!

Re: 2 week post op

My bath was not as joyful as I had hoped. I was too worried about my incision but it was nice to soak a little while

Re: 2 week post op

Hello. That's great your doing wonderful!

I just had my two week post op visit Wednesday. My dr was happy as well with the healing. I had a total hysterectomy via Da Vinci Robotic surgery.

I stayed over night. The first few nights were hard sleeping. My whole body and belly hurt I had to sleep on my back. Now I'm on my sides again sleeping and it's heaven to me!

I have my good days and rough days. Some days I'm so tired. My dr said I can do my normal routine but don't overdue it. So I'm not pushing myself.

The dr did put me on a hormone patch day one after surgery. So, so far I'm doing fine with that. Just wish sleep would come easier for me. I did notice if I go for a walk at night with my Husband, it tires me out easier and sleeping is a little better.

Go back to work in three weeks(total time out six weeks). I work on my feet all day in the medical field so I'm slowly getting back into the routine.

Listen to your body and please don't hesitate on calling your dr for anything!!

Six more weeks I go back one more time to the dr and she'll determine if I can have intercourse again. I was surprised when she told me theres only one incision at the top of my vagina and the rest in the belly are from the tools from the surgery.

Please take it easy and continue to have faith. I feel so much better since surgery is over with.
