Laparoscopic hysterectomy: LSH Video

I feel a MILLION times better about my LSH upcoming on 2/22. Why? Cause I google searched for video of a LSH after reading on another post that someone had watched a video of the surgery and the results popped up right away.

The video is not horribly long (53 minutes) and probably not for the squemish who don't handle that type of stuff well, but after watching - what a GREAT procedure. Simple, not a lot of blood loss. Pretty amazing actually. I feel so much better.

If you are scheduled for a LSH and are even slightly interested about 'how it all works' I would so check it out. Seriously, almost all my anxiety is gone. The testimonials included in the video were great as well.

I had a LSH and it is still one of the best things I ever did for my long term health. I would do my LSH over again in a second to have the quality of life I have now without fibroids and heavy periods.

good luck with your surgery...having the lsh was the best thing i ever did

I too have seen the webcast for LSH and I so want to do that rather than the full hyster that my doctor is going to encourage me to do after my ultrasound the end of this month. I am in Boston and trying to find an LSH Dr.....any advice???

you have some great hospitals in boston..you can probably go to their websites and find dr's that are qualified to do the lsh. its definitely worth finding one...the surgery is amazing. i had to go to charleston, s.c. for mine and it was well worth the trip

I am post op nine weeks from LSH and I agree with Historylady that it is the best thing I ever did for my health. I recovered so much more quickly than I expected I would and I feel great. I would say I've felt fully recovered for about the past 3-4 weeks now. I went back to work after four and a half weeks and it went really well. I hope you have as wonderful experience as I did. I'm a little over eight weeks out from my LSH, and I felt great at 3! I was cleared for all activity except for heavy lifting at 2 weeks, and I even returned to work. It has been a miracle for me!

I have a question (I'd say silly question but I have learned that no question is silly!)

Is a LSH the same thing as a LAVH???? I watched the video and if this is what I'm having (LAVH) then I am more ready than ever!!!!!
