Is this weird? & a few more ??
Hi all,
I have been thinking the same thing and I don't know why - just think it would be interesting - you don't get to see it everyday! I had my ovary removed when I was 12 for a teratoma cyst and the Dr. let me keep the teeth that were in it. Very strange!
After reading the rest of the replies, I got excited -- some doctors really do hysterectomies with only an epidural??!!! Cool - I've got to push for that! I want to know what's going on!
Thanks for all the great reading - I'm learning so much!

I asked my doctor if he was going to take a picture of my uterus and he cracked up! He said, "what?! Do you want it as a souvenir?" Then he said that no, he wouldn't be taking pictures that the only time he took pictures was when I had my D&C and had the camera inside me so he could see what he was doing.
So I let it go at that, but yea, I sure would have liked to have seen the darned thing! Then again, it would probably give me nightmares and I don't need that!

sisters, make sure you ask for the pathology/surgery report, too. it will tell you the size and weight of the uterus and everything else. the pathology report will also give you all the scientific names for what was wrong. the surgery report is step by step what the docs did. i would much rather read it than see it!
for my lap to clear out adhesions 10 years ago, the doc made a video and offered to let us see it. i turned him down but hubby wanted to. i don't remember if he did or not.
