Traveling?

I am having a vag. hys ( due to prolapse) in mid October, and was wondering if any of you can tell me what you think about traveling ( by air) four weeks later? We were thinking about planning a trip (possibly a cruise or beach trip. or even a low key trip to Paris)
four weeks after my surgery, but I'm not sure if that is resonable or not. I am in pretty good shape, exercise almost daily, I'm not over weight, and I do love to travel! I'd appreciate any feedback you care to offer. (I'm 52 yrs old btw!)

Check with your doctor, as only he or she will know for sure the extent of your surgery and what you will be capable of at that time.

One thing to keep in mind is that after surgery, we are more prone to DVT (deep vein thrombosis or blood clots) in the legs. With a long flight, you'd be even more at risk. So it would be very important for you to get up and walk around frequently during the flight.

Wow, 4 weeks out. That is pretty ambitious. I'm going on 7 weeks and I don't even feel that I would be up for that. I'm in good shape too. I get tired. Sitting too long is uncomfortable still. The beach or a cruise seems more doable than Paris, however low key. I would worry about the plane ride.
