Finally home.
I'll post the full story in the Castle Stories forum when I'm up to it, but I wanted to let you all know that I'm home about a 5 day stay.
Short list:
Things were ugly on the inside when they opened. Surprise to them, not to me. Required additional surgeons: Urologist and oncologist (no cancer, but organs very involved)
DBF is a Godsend.
I love my parents to pieces.
HysterSisters are the best kind.
I may lose a kidney later.
I have a catherter till next Tuesday.
No one's 1005 sure who has my left ovary (wow, just like my appendix with the first surgery!)
I need to rest. *wave*

We haven't spoken before, but I wanted to say welcome home. Sorry to hear that you were castle bound for so long and sorrier that you are still dealing with the cathater.
I was inclined to post to you because I live in Upper Darby...not far from you. I am going to the castle on 7-8.
Welcome home and hang in there!

Welcome home! Now be a good princess and rest, drink lots of water, rest, take short walks around the house, and rest.
We'll be looking for your castle story in the "Princesses Tell Their Stories" forum and your further updates on the PostOp forum.
Best wishes, and I hope all your problems get straightened out and you have an easy recovery, all things considered.

Getting rest and drinking lots of water, yup! I mean...it's not like I have to keep running to the bathroom to pee... *chuckle!*
Susan - I've got a convention to run that weekend, but if you end up being there till Monday, I could visit for a little bit, if you'd like
Northlights - When it's severly embedded in endo adhesions and scarring. I'm pretty sure it's out cause I had what can only be a hot flash on Monday. Phew! Just a sudden attack of sweating and warmth. It was gone after awhile.

Welcome home. It sounded like quite an ordeal for you at the Castle. Take good care of yourself and check back in when you can. Best wishes for you.

Glad to hear that you're getting your rest CartoonChick.
And thanks for the offer. I'm suppose to have an LAVH, so my doc thinks I should be home by Friday night or Sat morning.
Now, if over the next few weeks you need any help, I drive right through Havertown on the way home from work, so don't hesitate to ask! My DBF has been working crazy hours of late, so I do not have to rush home most nights.
