Dr appt/ ultrasound for pain 2 1/2 weeks post hysterectomy

Saw Dr today and ultrasound for continued pelvic pain from TVH. Dr thinks that the problem is the front of the pelvic bone. He did a pelvic exam also. Didn't see anything on ultrasound and everything looked good on exam. However when he was pushing around during exam the very front of the pelvic bone where the two bones meet was extremely tender. Last week he said it could be bruised. Well the week of my surgery I severely sprained my ankle and was able to keep myself from falling so now he says I could have pulled the wrong way and aggravated it more. Also did urine culture but I don't feel like I have any symptoms of uti. I left with prescriptions for Ultram and sonething for bladder spasms (which I don't really feel like I have). He told me to try them and see if it helped and to rest. I can't take NSAIDS so I feel like I'm just still treating the pain and don't know what's wrong. He said if no improvement we would do CT scan. I'm supposed to return to work Monday and at this point it's hard to even sit in a chair. Has anyone else had this problem??

Hi Stitcher1974, How are you feeling since posting this? Did you manage to return to work on Monday? You are still in the initial healing period, so perhaps you still need time off to heal. I was told I would be off work for 6 weeks after my TVH, but I wasn't cleared to return until 8 weeks. Even then, I was only able to work part time for the first few weeks. I was still swelling and having troubles sitting or standing for any length of time. The position of our surgery can be hard on our bodies. Also since our entire surgery is vaginal, there is some stretching and manipulating of tissues down below that can make us very sore. It's good your doctor did a urine culture, as bladder infections can present in strange ways sometimes.
