3 mths post op, sex question

My TAH was on June 6. Most of the pain is gone and I have some slight twinges when I move certain ways. Overall, I'm doing fine.

But... intercourse hurts! At my 6 wk checkup, the internal exam did not hurt and everything looked fine. I am not having any trouble with desire or lubrication, but it still hurts. It is like there is a wall in there now. I know that isn't true since the exam went ok. Does it take a while to return to normal? Could it be just psychological since I am still a little nervous?

I am over a year since my surgery and I am having the same problem. It feels just like a wall to me too. It only happens occasionally, not every time but I am not sure what it is either. I am assuming that it is the vaginal cuff, I did have trouble with it for a few months, it didn't heal as soon as it should have(whenever that sould have been) This is one time where I am glad that my husband is not that big I hope it gets better with time!

I remember reading posts from other Sisters who said they were having similar problems and it was due to hormones. But, they had lubrication/desire problems in addition. Have you talked about this with your doctor? They may have some ideas.
