why spotting now? normal?

Ok, you know I am really starting to get tired of this ! Every time I think I may be finally getting better and possibly turning the corner another symptom appears! Does anyone out there know if I should be worried if I am spotting at 3 months post-op?I have had none since the first week of post-op. I wear a pantyliner and when using the restroom last hour I noticed 3 small light brown spots. Before I freak out is this normal? Could it be from the hysterectomy? Or my big fear is could this be mesh erosion? I do not have a cervix. Ughhhh!!!!!!! I just feel like crying ya know?
Thanks girls, K

Re: why spotting now? normal?

Three months out, I'd call the doc. right now to be safe. Do not wait over the weekend. Let us know what it was.

Thanks,

I agree, at 3 months post-op you should really call in and be sure that everything is okay. We just never know. Please let us know what the doc says. I will be praying for you!

Re: why spotting now? normal?

I read somewhere that even when you get your cervix removed there can still be a tiny bit of tissue left that causes you to spot every once in a while. Maybe that's what you have?

Re: why spotting now? normal?

Thanks for your thoughts ladies
Ok , I hope this is not TMI and I apologize if this is , but, upon me analyzing the location of the spotting on the pantyliner ( gee I need to get a life it seems maybe the spotting is from the urethra? I also have been feeling some heaviness /pressure the past few days in the bladder area. DH thinks I should give it a few days and see what happens. I dunno, I am just so tired of it all , I have no time for this stuff in my life right now ugh!

Re: why spotting now? normal?

Why would you give it a few days if you thought it was from the urethra???

Re: why spotting now? normal?

Hi reliefseeker,

I am going to give it a few days cause I have had no spotting outside of that one incident. I am hoping it is just from doing a bit too much stuff on my feet yesterday. I had the tvt as well so not sure what it could be from. Not really one to sit in an e.r. if not needed especially since I am going in for another unrelated surgery next week and I do not want to end up with the flu which is active here. I will probably call the doctor on Monday and see what she says. If the spotting comes back or gets worse than that of course means I will put a call in to her service. Thanks for your help! ..K

Re: why spotting now? normal?

I know "just doing a bit too much" can cause spotting from the cuff or vaginal area, but would think that it coming from the urethra would be much more important to tell the doc. right away. I don't blame you about emergency rooms though. Doesn't your doc. have a service that can page them to call you back? But take care, either way. :-)

Re: why spotting now? normal?

Is this maybe a bladder infection? Are you having the dreaded bladder spasms???

Re: why spotting now? normal?

I don't think it is a bladder infection, but I could be wrong. Yesterday I had to go in for blood work and a urinalysis for my upcoming surgery. I will know if there is a uti when they test the urine. I will sit tight and enjoy the week-end with the family. I hope when I call the gynecologist on Monday they will not be concerned cause it was a small amount and so far has only happened once. I just can not be sure where the spotting came from(urethra or vagina) I am so tired of tests and doctors. Oh well we will see..... Have a great week-end all!
