I've been looking on line for people that's going thu what I am about to go thu, I will have my hysterectomy on Friday, Aug. 31.
I'm very scare. If there is someone that can help me understand what I'm going to go thu please let me know. I have four kids three girls and a son. I actually felt like I didn't want any more kids till now, that this is in my face my mind is running every which way it can. Thanks for your time and understanding.

DEE!!! I am so glad you have found this site prior to your surgery. I had a total abdominal hyst with both ovaries removed (otherwise referred to as a TAH/BSO) almost 9 weeks ago and I am doing very well!!! This was the best thing I could have done! I just started back to work last Friday and, with the exception of being a little tired, I feel TERRIFIC! Don't be scared...I'll tell you, the hardest part of all is the wait! As long as you listen to your doctor, don't overdo, and keep your pain under control with the pain meds your doctor will provide you, you will do just fine!

I had my TAH/BSO (everything gone) in March, and I feel better than I have in years and years. This can be a very positive experience...no more pain, bleeding, and suffering!
