24 Days Post Op Questions/Concern!!

Hi everyone.....new to the forum here, have found amazing information and thought I would "officially" join!!
I am 4 weeks post op laproscoptic total hysterectomy (24 days). I just recenlty started spotting bright red blood, nothing up until about a week ago. Today I am extremely tired and have a very sharp pain about an inch and half to the right of my belly button that occurs when I stand up from sitting or if I bend over then straighten back up. It's a very strange feeling, almost fragile, I'm a little scared as I have had dizzy spells today as well???
Anyone experience this or know what's going on?

Re: 24 Days Post Op Questions/Concern!!

The spotting sounds normal. I had no bleeding at all until about 10 days post op and then I had all different colors spotting (bright red, dark red, brown, orange). Unless you're bleeding heavily (a pad in an hour) its probably fine. The dizziness is concerning. Are you still on pain meds? That may cause dizziness. I did also have sharp pains at times, but I am a little concerned with what you're describing. I suggest going to bed and resting. Listen to your inner alarm bells, if they're ringing, call the doctor or head to the ER.

Re: 24 Days Post Op Questions/Concern!!

I am 2 1/2 months post op LAVH/bladder sling - kept ovaries. I had the dizziness up until a couple weeks ago. I did talk to my doc at my 2,4 and 6 week post op. He was not concerned. I also had the sharp pain - mine was sharp and burning only on the right side. I don't have it constantly like I did, but there are days I still get those pains. One of the many things I have learned from this site is the recovery is a long one! Listen to your body though, if you don't feel right, there is no harm calling your doc just for peace of mind!! Good Luck sister!
