My laproscopic supra cervical hysterectomy is over. I had surgery on Wednesday,15. Everything went much better than I anticipated. I had been worried about blood pressure problems and a possible heart problem, but not a problem at all. The worst of the surgery was the blowl prep with go lightly. Icky. The hospital staff was super nice, I woke up from the surgery and had almost no pain. Since, I had only 4 little incisions on my abdomen, I was able to go home the next day. The incisions were glued, and the inside had no stitches, but was cauterized. I was told to walk a lot, not to lift more than 10 lbs and not to drive until I am off of the codeine (did not have to take it on day two). I feel a little tired, and nap a lot thoughout the day, but other than that just feel relieved. I am happy to have chosen to do the surgery completely laproscopical. I had a uterus that was 4 times the normal size, and multiple large fibroids. Now, I hope that the recovery will go well in the next weeks.
