Bleeding 5 Weeks Post Op Hysterectomy

Hi!
I am 27, and I had a DiVince Hysterectomy (I also have a vaginal cuff) almost 6 weeks ago.
I didn't bleed at first, and then I started bleeding around the second week, I went to the doctor and they said I tore a stitch and they took care of it, and said it should stop. But it's never stopped. It isn't bright, but it's constant and I need to wear a pad for the spotting. I've also started to have pain around one of the small incisions above my belly button and my stomach feels tender.
Is this just a normal part of recovery? I just thought by week 6 I would be feeling a LOT better, and sometimes I still need to take tylenol or ibprophen.

Re: Bleeding 5 Weeks Post Op Hysterectomy

I am having the exact same issue at week 5! its very frustrating. I went to my dr last week because of the light bleeding and he cauterized the vaginal incision site again and put some sort of medicine on it. I felt great all weekend, and still feel pretty good this morning but the bleeding is back...Going to dr again tomorrow morning

Bleeding 5 Weeks Post Op Hysterectomy

I have been bleeding since day 6 or 7. Mostly spotting until today. I'm 3 weeks post op tomorrow. At my two week appt. last week my doctor said bleeding is the exception not the rule, but it is normal. He said it's likely due to granulation (don't read about it, the worst case scenarios have caused me great distress). Anyway, it stopped almost completely yesterday. But then this morning I woke up lightly bleeding bright red just like it was when it began two weeks ago. I'm stressed and at my wits end. I never expected this. Most people here aren't talking about bleeding so I believe my doctor is right, it's the exception not the rule. Struggling and praying!
