at the castle
Hi Sisters. I came home from the castle
this morning. My stay wasn't bad. Surgery took a little longer because there were many fibroids & the doctor had scar tissue to deal with. I had a General. Once I got on the operating table I don't remember anything else until I woke up in recovery. I was given a morphine shot & slept most of the day. By morning I was up walking & using the bathroom. Once my bowels woke up I was able to eat regular food. I think passing gas was the hardest part. You feel a big cramp coming on. I drank a lot of water & walked, walked, & walked. My support group was great. I gave my husband & my sister explicit intructions before I went in & that was no matter what I said or tried to get out of, even if I cried, they were to make me walk & keep me drinking.
I'm stiff & moving slowly but am so happy to be home. I haven't had any bleeding & very little drainage. I'll be in touch. For those of you waiting I'm praying for you. Hugs, MzTuna
