Little nervous to the actual day

I am very active at work, I run a Customer Service Center. I have approx. 150 employees. I work on the average of 14 hours a day.
I am also nervous about being out of work to long. How soon do you think I will be able to go back to work? The doctor states 6 weeks, I was thinking more on the lines of 2 weeks?

LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR!

You only get one chance to heal right the first time. I'm sure you wouldn't want to do something to cause yourself to miss even more work because of injuring yourself after surgery. Two weeks is very early to return to work after this kind of operation, especially working 14 hours a day. Talk to your dr and see if maybe you can return on a part-time basis at first - - - maybe at 4 weeks instead of 2. I know there are others who returned to work real early after their surgeries, but there are also some with jobs they can sit and not have much other activity who've returned to work later than 2 weeks post and ended up deciding that was still too early and had to stay home again and recover a little more.

Good luck with your recovery, but please take good care of your health.

I think 2 weeks is way too optimistic. I slept almost the entire first two weeks. I didn't feel up to driving until week 3 and didn't like it at all until week 4. It takes quite a bit longer to recover from hyst than from c-section.
