Two days post hysterectomy: Is all this normal?

I had a Lavh on 10/3 woke up lots of gas shoulder pain, razor blade feeling in throat white blisters inside month and red bumps, very dry mouth all the time. I'm drinking and going to the restroom like a racehorse. Large red hematoma below my belly button, very tender. I feel like someone hit me in my neck and shoulders and along the sides of my neck. Congestion, slight cough I think this might all be from the tube they put in your mouth and position for surgery. Aside from the whole mid section in pain, to be expected. Just feel like I've been man handled. Just wanted to know I was not alone in this.

Re: Is all this normal?

I had all of those symptoms except the white blisters inside of mouth. Could be from the intubation. I had a red blood blister on my lip but that was from my lip being pinched with the tube down my throat. I'm sure the white bumps are from being intubated but call your doctor just to be sure.

Thank you for your reply, not feeling alone! Crazy how all the little things add up. Did not get to see/talk to my doctor was released by unknown Doctor.

Re: Is all this normal?

All normal except white blisters. Heating pad/hot shower helped neck and shoulders. White bumps are likely thrush, which happens when the mouth gets very dry (durinf surgery!). It is miserable, but easily treated. Call dr asap on that one!!!

Re: Is all this normal?

My LAVH was on the same day. I feel the same way. It is worse today than yesterday too. I don't have white blisters but I do have a mouth sore.

Re: Is all this normal?

Hi, I had my LAVH on 9.29 - a week ago. Most of what you described was what I experienced as well. I did not have the gas in the shoulder area so much as below. Did not see white spots in the mouth, however. I'm happy to see your post so now I know I'm not alone! Good health, Ana

Re: Is all this normal?

White spots in the back of the throat sounds like Strep! You need to call your doctor right away. The gas associated pain is normal, but red spots could be an allergic reaction to the meds. Please call your doctor.
