Uterus of fire?
Hi girls, I am new here scheduled for a Hyst & bladder sling on the 30th and SCARED to say the least but I am so looking forward to pain relief and I pray that this works.
I have no family history of endo/adeno or any of my current medical issues.. so I have nobody to really give support when I need and I am so happy I found this board before my surgery.
MY one question is... is it usually with adeno/endo to get a burning sensation in my uterus? I woke up from this 3 times last night. I have looked it up, and I can't really find any info on why it happens.
I am 35, and my hormones are already hot flashing me into my 90th year.... oh the joys... I asked my Gyne about this and he told my that I have a hormone imbalance, but didn't give me anything other than BCP to help with it, which I feel makes the uterus of fire burn much deeper....

Re: Uterus of fire?
the last 6 months or so of my cycles i felt like my belly was burning during my cycle too. It would ache and burn, honestly I thought I was going nuts. I would curl up in the recliner, take my good pain meds every 3 hours and just beg them to work...it was pretty awful.
i am 3.5 weeks post op and glad to not being going through that any more. My surgeon found endo, on the ovaries, behind the uterus, as well as a fibroid, and some endo on the large intestines. I have no idea what was making that burning sensation, but I am happy to say it is gone!!!!

Re: Uterus of fire?
I have burning sensations also. I have a cyst on my left ovary and suspected andemyosis of the uterus, so not the same issues as you, but I get a burning from my pelvis up to my belly button sometimes. It can feel like hot hot heat. Sometimes the pain is low like between my thigh and privates, but usually higher. When my cyst grew it was worse and much more steady.
I am glad you found the site. I hope you are able to find support and information you need. Hope you feel well and have a terrific recovery.

Re: Uterus of fire?
In one of the adeno sites I researched online it actually gives a "hot coal" description of the symptoms. You are not imagining this burning pain.
I feel it, too. Nothing helps the pain.

Re: Uterus of fire?
Reading your descriptions of adeno reminded me of some burning and stinging feelings I've felt in my abdomen over the years. I've never thought to mention it to my various docs. I had never even heard of adeno until I found this site. Now, if I awake from my surgery on Wednesday with an adeno diagnosis, I won't be shocked and clueless.
I thank God for this site, and for my sisters. Thanks.
And by the way, Ginge, I love "Uterus of fire." That title literally made me

Re: Uterus of fire?
humm, the "hot coal" is exactly it!
Uterus coals... lol
I have had endo for years, they found adhesions during a c/s 14 years ago, but I didn't have much of a problem until after baby #3 arrived. Then 5 years later #4 and my Uterus is screaming for mercy... constantly!
My Gyn highly suspect Adeno... which I had never heard of either.
Right now I have a large mass on my ovary in all likelihood is a cyst but it's been around for long enough that its causing some pretty awesome bladder issues...
On to my big day... July 30th, today is a day that I need to hurry up and get here, tomorrow I will be panic striken and crying over it.
I <3 Hormones!!!
Thanks for your kind replies girls!
Like I said I am so happy to have found you all. I've had nobody to talk to!
Humour is the only way I can get through this
