Anyone else wake up in the OR?

I don't want to scare anyone who hasn't had this yet, but would really be curious if anyone else had similar experience. I woke up fully in the Operating Room just before they took the tube out of my mouth. I was unable to get pain relief until I got to recovery and they finished up in the OR. I was in terrible pain. Everything I read is about people waking up in the Recovery room with pain already under control. I was supposed to have LAVH, but due to the extent of the endo I had a TAH.
Thanks for input!

Anyone else wake up in the OR?

I woke out of my twilight sedation and couple of times, but they quickly put back to "out of it". They would ask if I felt anything, and then out I went again. I had a spinal.

Anyone else wake up in the OR?

I feel for you. I did not have this experience with my TAH, but did with my lap in 1995. Indescribably excruciating and frightening especially as that was my first time in a hospital. I am so sorry you went through that. I did tell my dr prior to my hyst as O was terrified and he set me up w/the anaesthesiologist prior to make sure it did not happen again. This time I did not wake up until I was in recovery.

My prayers for your peace of mind.

Anyone else wake up in the OR?

I had a spinal and at one point felt very sharply many quick slices of cutting pain toward my front inside. It woke me from my twilight sleep and when I told the anesthesiologist it hurt she gave me something and I was out the rest of the operation.

Not a good experience.

Anyone else wake up in the OR?

I woke up in the OR too. I think they must have been wrapping things up, because I didn't feel any pain of any kind. I even talked to my dr. When he went and talked to my family, he told them that about it and he had never had that happened before. LOL

Anyone else wake up in the OR?

That is scary. After my TAH I work up in pain, but it was in the recovery room. I would have been really upset if I woke up feeling that way and I was still in the OR.

Anyone else wake up in the OR?

I told my doctor waking up in the OR was one of my biggest fears. She said the OR team would make sure that did not happen.
I am so sorry that happened to you.
