One week post hysterectomy: what to do about intense itching?
My whole abdomen is itching. What helps and is this normal? I had a tah.

Try taking a benadryl, my doctor said try triple antibiotic or benadryl cream not for my whole stomach though I am itchy where the tape wasfor my pain pump.

The itching is normal. I had my total abdominal hysterectomy in June of 2013. I had a great deal of abdominal itching, especially around the site of my incision. My doctor told me that the itching was a sign of healing. The itching will start to go away over time. You just have to be patient.

Ohh good!! Thought I was losing my mind. Lol my incisions itch like crazy!! I figured it was normal but not sure. Ughhh I hate it!!!

Benadryl gel *alongside* - but not *on* - the incisions, also any place else it itches.
