vaginal opening pressure

I had a histerectomy on Jan 17 with anterior repair. I am nearly 4 weeks post-op and have had something in my vaginal opening for nearly 2 weeks. I was to the doctors about a week ago and she said it was the vagina and it moved when she did an exam and said the pressure feeling was from swelling. She didn't say anything was wrong. Should the vaginal wall be at the opening like that. I'm pretty ignorant about my anatomy down there. I have been trying to tighten the muscels at the opening thinking maybe they are too loose.
I feel like I want to go back for another checkup and be reassured, but I have already been there twice. Once because I thought the burn I got during surgery was infected and the second time for the pressure. I go back in 2 weeks.
Also it feels like I'm scrunching my stomach muscels even though i'm not and I feel twinges in the stomach area.
Has anyone else had this problem or can reassure me that this vaginal wall at the opening is normal.

Sorry to hear your having difficulties but you are not alone. I also had a tah/bso on January 19 and am having the same difficulty. It feels like everything wants to come out. I am seeing the dr on thursday but she thinks this is normal but i am going to be tested for a urinary tract infection. Hope you will be feeling better soon.
