Party!
Last night, I had a farewell party for my uterus. I decided rather than just coping with the anxiety and all that, I would have some fun with this. I'm so glad I did!
I decided to go all cheesy and just be silly. I made a cake with a happy smiling uterus waving good bye with one of her ovaries. We played a mad lib game that was the story of a little uterus. Then we did a memory game with "woman supplies," then we played pin the ovaries on the uterus. We had food and visited and had a great time laughing and being silly.
The nice thing was when the party was over, I was all filled up from a nice time with friends, the house was clean, and it wasn't a big struggle because I was cleaning up for a party, and that made it more fun. And I wore myself out, so I was able to burn off some of that nervous pre-surgery energy.
It was such a fun way to say good bye to my old life and hello to my new. Now, I'm ready. I go to the castle the day after tomorrow, and this was just the right send off.

Re: Party!
That's great!! I love it! One of my friends suggested doing the same thing. I'm not sure if I will (planning parties stresses me out almost more than prepping for surgery does!) but it's a fun idea anyway!
