Getting Anxious!

Hi ladies! My hysteroscopy/D&C is tomorrow and DAVH/BSO is scheduled for 3/23. Gyn says the *most probable* cause of my enlarged uterus is adenomyosis. The procedure tomorrow should confirm or deny this. Other possibility is endo cancer. I was on tamoxifen for 4 years, have had 2 bouts with breast cancer (w/bilateral mastectomy in 8/10 and reconstruction surgery 12/10). Since going off the tamoxifen last spring, I' ve had 2 massive periods and fluctuating estradiol levels. My tumors were estrogen fed, so pre-menopausal levels are not good. Before going off the tamoxifen, it had been 18 months since I had a period, and they were pretty *normal* when I had them.

The two periods I had weren't painful and haven't had any pelvic pain. So of course I'm half-expecting an endo cancer dx. I will be glad to be on the other side of not knowing, hopefully gyn can give us a read before go home tomorrow!

On pre-op preps, I bought 2 body pillows w/cases and a Cool Zone pillow (Kohls had these for 50% off!), new slippers, new nightgowns, and a sleep mask. I had night sweats and hot flashes when I was on tamoxifen, so hopefully the surgical menopause symptoms will be similar. I've slept with a Vornado fan blowing on me for over 5 years. Couldn't sleep without one!
