Re: Why am I still hurting?

I had my surgery a day before you and there are times that I am sore in the morning. I still have to watch how i turn over in bed cuz of the soreness. And now I have the pressure in the vagina which is so common and it is uncomfortable. I manage my pain during the day with ibruprofen and then at bedtime I take my hydrocodone. But you are still early in recovery. We have a long road of healing ahead of us.

Re: Why am I still hurting?

Its not unusual to take meds quite a ways out. If you are concerned please call your dr. Anxiety is bad for recovery, especially when there is no cause for it. I was still taking ibuprofen regularly 6 weeks out, and 1 or 2 norco a week (on particularly long days). Be patient, you are on the recovery road!

Re: Why am I still hurting?

I took pain medication for 2 weeks. We are all different and your recovery will be as unique as the surgery itself. It is completely normal to still feel pain and discomfort, you are very early into your healing. Our bodies have been through a lot of trauma and it is going to take time to get back to normal. Nice to meet you!

Take care
