Anyone else cold?

I had my hyst on the 28th. I have been feeling pretty good so far. Last night I started getting cold. The weather here is warm, about 80 or so outside. I have been shivering. I needed flannel PJ'S and 2 blankets last night. I had my ovaries removed due to my strong family history of ovarian cancer. Could this just be hormones? Anyone else cold? Brrr!

Anyone else cold?

My SAH/BSO was July 2nd and I'm also cold a lot more than I used to be. I have to wear socks to bed. I always used to be warm.

I'm on the Vivelle Dot patch, so I don't know if it's hormonal or not.

I'm not complaining too much yet with it in the 90's, but I am dreading winter!

Anyone else cold?

Oh my! Get this...sometimes I go to bed wearing a loose, light tee shirt, undies and SOX cuz just my feet are cold and the rest of me is hot! Sometimes, I do wear the flannies AND sox and curl up under the blankets cuz I'm freezing cold even though it's stiffling hot! I think our systems are currently out of balance and eventually, I hope, with time, will stablize some how.

Anyone else cold?

I live in Florida and have been wearing sweats since my surgery - I have had maybe 3 or so instances where I was uncontrollably hot however that is it. I have both my ovaries still so dont think it is hormonal however who knows. You should see the weird looks I get going to the store wrapped up in sweats, long socks and sneakers - people are funny

Anyone else cold?

My feet are freezing ... I have both my ovaries still but have had some hot flashes. Didn't really realize that's what it was but an advice nurse told me your ovaries can kind of go to sleep after trauma such as surgery and can lead to hot flashes. I'm OK with the hot flashes but my danged feet feel like ICE cubes all the time. Sheesh!

Anyone else cold?

I was wondering about this also. I guess it must be something to do with all the surgery cause I have had hot flashes which don't really bother me(no ovaries) but 3 times now I have had cold cold cold times. Especially today. It is in the 80's here and I had to wrap up in two big blankets. I felt like I had a fever but it went away. Our poor bodies are just a mess.

Anyone else cold?

Although I am sorry some of you are cold too, I am relieved to see I am not alone. I watched my husband and 3 year old son out the window in the pool yesterday. It seemed like I was dreaming since my body felt like it was winter. I am going to the Dr. today to get my staples out. I am going to talk with her about it. I noticed my feet are colder too. Well I guess I would rather deal with the cold than the horrible periods I used to endure. Always a plus side ladies!

Anyone else cold?

I thought it was just me! I cannot keep my feet warm....but I refuse to wear socks to bed (can't stand things on my feet, even keep my feet out from under the covers)....Every morning, I turn OFF the air that my DH likes to have on at night.....and open all the windows....hopefully my feet will warm up soon!!!

Anyone else cold?

It's a stress reaction. The surgery places a huge stress on our bodies and one of the reactions - caused by changes in adrenal hormones - is to lower our body temperature. I have completely shriveled up adrenals, so this happens to me fairly regularly when something in my life is "off".
