Things they don't tell you after surgery.....

I had my daVinci hysterectomy last Friday, went home Saturday. I had urterin cancer and I am pleased to say they got it all. I haven't been on pain meds since Sat night. They are correct, there isn't as much pain, alot of discomfort. Your stomach looks like it was shot 5 times and your vagina turns purple and swells up so it is like you are walking around with 2 sausages between your legs. Everyday it gets better. Be patient, don't do any heavy lifting, all it does is swell you up more.

I would recommend the daVinci procedure for anyone. Finally I am cancer free.

That's great news! I had the davinci too and am really happy with the surgery and recovery. I am 6 weeks post op tomorrow and have to say that I had NO vaginal pain or swelling, AT ALL.

I had a LAVH...I didn't have any vaginal swelling. That sounds uncomfortable! I'm sorry you had that.
