Oh NO my belly!

Hello ladies. Okay, some of you who have been following know I have had a drainage tube. Well, the tube was taken out on Friday since the bag was filling with air and the tube was almost to the surface. They said "see ya in 2 weeks for a CT scan."

Well, in the meantime my stomach is more swollen and hurts WORSE! I called on of my doctors and am waiting for an answer on what to do. It has just been so frustrating because I keep getting tossed because the mesh surgeon and the radiologist doctor. The reason I called my GP is he is the only one that appears to care and will send me in the right direction. My gyny also happens to be my GP's husband....wonderful doctors.

I am just scared...I am sleeping more again. I don't know if this is due to a Lupus flare or an infection. I am back to wearing my belly band because it hurts so bad to have my stomach hang out.

Any thoughts?

Oh NO my belly!

I'm sorry that you're still having this tummy problem. I hope that the doctor can figure out what is wrong and get it straightened out! You've had enough of a "challenge", and I wish you a speedy recovery.

I think the internal "damage" and swelling sure can take a long time to go away, some say up to a year or so . It may be that because you've had a "setback" that your internal healing is a little bit behind. Maybe that's why you're still having pain and swelling. I don't know, but that might be a possibility.

I wish the docs could find a solution for you!

Oh NO my belly!

Hey Kathy

Soo nice to see you on the boards, but not for this reason....
sorry you are still having issues with this. The best thing
I can say is that you are on top of it, and sooner or later
this too shall pass.
In the meantime, know that as always I am here for you

hugs
