LAVH: Adenomyosis new symptoms seem to arrive daily!

I'm 43 days away from having my hysterectomy and I had to call my OBGYN to request some pain medication for my back pain.

It took an act of Congress but I was given 4 days worth of Vicodin, I've only taken 2 because I don't like the way that I feel when I'm on them, and they don't remove the pain, they just make me not care.

The doctor on call over the weekend said if I'm having this much pain I need to call the doctor on Monday and let them know. I called this morning and I don't know that it will do me any good, he knew I was in pain before and I still have to wait until 7/14 to have my surgery.

Over the weekend I've discovered I can no longer completely empty my bladder and my urine smells strongly (like it does when I have a UTI). Also 3 times this weekend I went to eat and became very full within a few bites of food.

I just don't know what to do.

I would call your doctor and see if they can run a urine test on you. Maybe you just have a bladder infection.

I was also thinking it might be a bladder or kidney infection. Because these our new symptoms rather than just a gradual increase in pain from the adenomyosis, you might want to schedule an appointment with your doctor anyway. If this is not normal for you, it's important to get it checked out.

I hope you start to feel better soon and that you can be relatively comfortable until it's time for your surgery.

I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow at noon.

Hope you can get some relief before your surgery... I know how much adenomyosis sucks. I was supposed to have surgery today! But freaked out and cancelled it, oh, how I am kicking myself.

Good luck at your appt tomorrow! I hope you can get something done sooner than your July date! OR at least maybe some meds for what does sound like a possible infection. Keep us updated! Praying for you!!
