what is a 'bladder tack'? (child mentioned)
hi, I'm having my 3rd child by c-section on 7th july and they have to do a full hysterectomy (womb and top of cervix) becuase of placenta previa and accreta. I'm trying to compile a list of questions to ask my obgyn next time I see her on thursday... but she's more concerned with the baby etc.. he seems fine.. it's me I'm worried about! one of the questions I noticed I should perhaps ask is about bladder tracks.. what is it? I know they are having a urology team in theatre as well to examine my bladder as my bladder and womb are probably either attached or butted up against each other and pushing each other etc.. so they want the urology team to look at it.. just wondering what a bladder track is? is there any other questions I should ask? it's all so up-in-the-air as it's such rare surgery.. so I keep getting the answer 'we won't know till we get in there' or 'we don't know how you'll react'.. etc.. any advice on what to ask.. esp about the bladder track thing? they have mentioned that when they do c-section/hysters they often have problems if the tube between the bladder and kidney are cut or damaged so I have to watch for sore bladder apprently afterwards as they may have to go in again??? all quite confusing..
