My dr didn't tell me to take it but if you have a UTI you can drink cranberry juice to help, the pill form is just more concentrated and you don't have to handle the taste if you don't like the juice. For about a week I used double dose cause it felt I didn't have full urinary health, the next day I noticed a difference and after about 3 days the pain was gone. After the first week I just took one a day and haven't had any problems. I would definately recomend using it, even if you end up with a UTI, because it can help with the pain of that too and its not expensive, just get a good brand. I got the Spring Valley kind at wal mart. It is about $7 for a 60 ct.

I hope this or something else helps you! I definately know how it feels.
I had my husband pick up some cranberry juice. I drank a glass, after a few hours, I went pee and it was a darker color. Can cranberry juice make your urine darker?
