Post-Op

I had my surgery on the 15th vaginal, and i been healing very well. I stayed in hospital over night, and my friends and family has been so helpful. I have no heavy bleeding, its very very light not even enough to put a pad on. This is going to be week 2 and i went uo stairs for the first time, i had a little sharp pains after wards, but i didn't have to go back down to the next day. My follow up is on the 15th of next month. My overies and tubes stayed they looked good, I got lab results back last week no cancer no where.
Is there anything I shoud be aware of? Thanks for all the support from this group.

Re: Post-Op

The only thing i would say to be aware of is this ... As you feel better and better .. You tend to forget that your insides are still healing.. And that makes it easier to forget that you need to be taking it easy!! There are reasons the doctors tell you to go slw!

Re: Post-Op

I agree, I overdid it one day last week and I had to spend the next day just resting. And listen to what your body is telling you.

Re: Post-Op

I agree with you two. I do forget but I don't forget. So I'm resting as much as I can.

Re: Post-Op

I had a TVH too...still have the ovaries and tubes....getting over this was a snap. No pain .. no real issues in the recovery. So I felt a bit guilty being a big blob in my recliner...but I have taken it so easy for 7 weeks...I'm not risking any more now than I have to deal with. Healing takes a long time.

I had a cancerous tumor in the Uterine Lining...so I've decided to take preventative measures, ...even tho they are pretty sure they got the beast out and it's gone. But, today's advice from our physicians is when in doubt do a few treatments. I will take 3 internal radiations and 3 chemo cycles, just to make sure there were no stray cells or anything roaming around in blood vessels. The ''no see ums'' are a worry.

And.....I'm older rather than younger...and I have no time to waste.
