5 days to go

I just realized I have 5 days to go. I have the house clean, the work at work finished, the stuff ready to go with me to the castle, and butterflies in my stomach. Not looking forward to the pain and I am praying that mine goes well. Why is it that you absolutely can not get it out of your mind.? Some one said yesterday that you don't think about it when you're cleaning and she was right. I've just run out of things to clean. I guess you can never get stuff clean so I'll do another round tonight. I guess I'm just wandering about trying to get through this.

The worst part is the waiting!

Yes, staying busy keeps your mind off it. Some other suggestions besides cleaning: walking, pampering yourself, doing something fun with your family or friends, go to the movies, read a book. There are lots of possibilities!

Best wishes!

Wow...I never looked at it that way

Hi, GenaKay:

I, too, am scheduled for the 14th. I just hadn't made the connection that it is only 5 days away.

My house is clean, my meals are frozen, I seem to live on this site, and time is passing, thanks to a little help from all of my friends. I am going out for lunch every day this week! Talk about swelly-belly...oh wait, it probably isn't the same.

So much for eating lite...

I think my hardest day will be Saturday...my DS and DH are going skiing, so I will be alone. I may just have to find someone to go to a movie with me, or something!

Hang in there, GenaKay...we will be on the other side soon!

5 days to go

Hi, I agree that staying busy helps. But, do take time for some fun things too. Go to a movie, out to dinner, shopping - wharever you enjoy most.
Hang in there, you'll make it.

Thanks

Thanks for the responses. You all are so right. I still need to spend some quality time with my Grandsons and going out for a good dinner sounds pretty good. I truly don't know how I would have made it through this without a shoulder to cry on and an arm to lean on from all of you here.
