Controlling timing of period pre-op

Greetings everyone! I am scheduled to have a TVH on October 8. I had an ultrasound last month that showed the endometrium was 2 cm thick and there was a small "something" else in there. The doc wants to do a frozen section biopsy while I am under before doing the TVH. This means that she does not want to do the surgery when I am having my period which is very possible given the timing of it. She said having my period makes it more difficult for the pathologist to read the sample I have a horse farm to run so it is very difficult for me to reschedule this if my body does not cooperate. Me being out of commission for this long is like Noah leaving the ark. Anyone have luck manipulating their periods in this type of situation? Getting it sooner would be OK, delaying it divine!

have you asked your dr if she can give you something to delay your period? i'm pretty sure theres something she can give you so you dont have to reschedule. good luck!

Yep, they should be able to put you on birth control pills or do a one shot of depo to stop things.
