What will my husband experience?

Dear Chula:

Here is a link to the fibroids section of our Resources Directory: https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/lin...=browse&cid=26 and be sure to also check out www.thefibroidplace.com Perhaps you are a candidate for something less-invasive like fibroid embolization (UFE).

Get smart about your symptoms and your options, and make the best choice for YOU. I am sending huge cyberhugs

What will my husband experience?

I've read many hysterectomy books that address this question and they all say that according to the questionnaires, men can't tell the difference. There's probably some rare man who can, but he would be the exception.

Seriously though to answer the question of the thread:

I am almost 15 weeks post-op and DH and I have discussed this........I point blank asked him. He says there is no difference for him except.....now he's not hurting me, he can't feel the hard lumps in there anymore (fibroids are gone!), we have more than a 7 day window each month, he says actually it is better. And I think this has something to with that....for me personally it is so much better! I had forgotten how pleasurable it could be. I am more relaxed and it doesn't hurt.

There are alternatives too and I checked them out. Then decided that hysterectomy was my best option. Talk to your doctor and if in doubt seek a second or even third opinion.
