recovery post-op; week 1 1/2

hey guys. i was just inquiring about what else to expect after the hysterectomy. the issues i've had are annoying headaches, my knees and hips and tending to be more painful (which my left knee/ hip has given me an issue over the years due to being put through "temporary menopause" with different pills/ injections- that kind of thing) but that pain has seemed to be a lot more severe. urinating has been extremely painful, not every use but the majority (externally and internally). really odd nightmares, but vivid and frightening enough for me to wake up crying. now i have had 7 surgeries as a total in my 23 years of being on this earth and never have i ever had any side effects from anesthesia, so i was inquiring if anyone has experienced anything close to what i am experiencing (which isn't unbearable by any means, just very frustrating!) thanks guys!

Re: recovery post-op; week 1 1/2

Your hips and knees may be giving you a little more grief than usual because of the position during the Davinci surgery. Painful urination can be several things, but I have learned that the bladder is very sensitive and doesn't like to be messed with. It definilty gets moved around during a hysterectomy. Mine personally has been in spasm which can be very painful. It could also be a uti or bladder infection. Should be a simple test at the Dr. The nightmares could be from anesthesia or hormone flucuations, or just the stress from the surgery. you are very young to have been through so much.
