TVH didn't go as planned!

Hi all,

Just had TVH on April 26th. I was supposed to have a bladder suspension and pelvic floor repair. The Dr. said it could not be done and they would have to go in abdominally to do the repair at a later date. When I pressed her for answers, she is very vague. Got the replies, my uterus was too large, uterus was attached to my stomach. Anyone had this happen to them? Feel like my Dr. is not being honest with me. Shouldn't she have know my uterus was too large prior to surgery? Why wouldn't she just open me up and finish what she went in to accomplish? She said she had to work very hard to remove my uterus and my bladder is very angry with me.

Came home with the Foley catheter and cannot have it removed until day 7. Hurts to sit, but off percocet and just on Ibruprofin. Sorry so long winded!

sounds like you have adhesions if your uterus was attatched to your stomach, I had adhesions and during ,my laporoscopy they did re-prep me and do a laporotomy which means they had to open up my belly, she could have done that I suppose so you don't have to go though another major surgery...good luck!
