Last Tuesday night I started having some cramp style pains in my pelvic area, then Wednesday I had the feeling like I was starting a period and when I went to the bathroom, there was blood. It was quite a bit and to say I was shocked would be an understatment. I called the dr's office and was told they couldn't get me in til Friday because they only wanted my dr to see me. They asked a bunch of questions, trying to pnpoint what it was. I wasn't showing signs of infection or UTI or bladder infection, so they were comfortable with waiting til Friday, but said if any new symptoms came up to go to the er or come straight to the office if they were open. No other symptoms came up and the bleeding stopped after 24 hours. I went in Friday am and he found a lesion high up in my vagina, just below the cuff. He did a biopsy and now I sit waiting for the pathology. I got the standard try not to worry, but my dr and nurse were whispering and in 17 years they have never done that to me. Of course I promptly came home and began googling and searching Hystersisters. All I can find about internal lesions is linked to cancer. I'm so freaked and the waiting is making it worse. Have any of you ladies had anything similar either before of after your hyster? What was it? Treatment? Thanks in advance for any info.
1 year post hysterectomy, I was just told on Thursday that another cyst has formed on my ovary and I have a lesion on my vag cuff. Just like you, all I can find in regards to this points to cancer. I would like more info but Im not freaking out. We are gonna make it just fine.

Re: 15 mos post-op, now vaginal lesion

I wanted to update where I had made a reply to this thread. I went to a new doctor. She was WONDERFUL. I had granulation tissue and she put silver nitrate on the area. It was pretty uncomfortable, but bearable. I went back to see her 4 weeks later and I WAS FINE!!...God answers prayers.! I finally found a doctor that is close to where live. Sorry it took me so long to update.
