Re: 8wk still having some pain

Coticaharris, I am so sorry you are still experiencing pain. Have you been back for your 6 week checkup? It does take a while to heal, try to continue to rest and listen to your body. Limit your lifting. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Re: 8wk still having some pain

I am 8 weeks post op as well. I am still having some pain. Twinges here and there. Still sore when I bend over, shave legs, pull weeds. My low back and hips are very achy. I did over do it by going back to work at 5.5 weeks. I've stopped working now. I thought if I just kept pushing, I would get stronger and it would get easier. I was checked at the ER. CAT scan, urine, blood work and pelvic exam. All ok. It just takes time. The uterus is connected to ligaments they have to cut (among other things). Muscles tighten to protect themselves which then pull on other muscles. Everything is attached. Hope you feel better soon!!!

Re: 8wk still having some pain

I'm 8 weeks as well. I feel pretty good for the most part. I have been told I can do whatever I want. I have been kayaking ( on lake ) 4 wheeling and planted my garden.... Digging holes for my plants caused that low ABD burning and pulling sensation. I backed off a bit with the hole digging. It's hard to know your limits. I am doing what I want while paying attention to pain and twinges. If it hurts...... Back it off a bit. Feel better!!!!
