Ten days post-LAVH - am I overdoing it?

Hi destiny123 and

It's great having you as a member of Hystersisters.com! It sounds like you are doing very well so far during your early post-LAVH recovery!

No matter what you read on the site, and no matter what anyone knows tells you...the "gold standard" regarding your surgery recovery is what your doctor tells you. As indicated throughout the pages of Hystersisters.com...the content of this website is not intended to replace the advice of your personal physician. If your doctor told you "if it hurts don't do it" and if you aren't hurting then I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

My best advice to you is to listen to your body. Try to take it easy and

Many s and Best Wishes,

Ten days post-LAVH - am I overdoing it?

Hi Destiny,
When I had my TVH I felt the same way. I did just about everything except lift over 10 pounds and vacuumn, thats all the orders I had following surgery...oh and no baths for the 6 weeks. If I started to feel tired I would stop and take a break but I found I really wasn't getting tired so just continued my normal routine. Just listen to your body and if you get tired take a rest.
Hope this helps you some. Take care

I would just be careful since you do have internal stitches up in there. It wouldn't be to comfy if you tore one and had to go back for a nitrate treatment. I had to have one due to driving to soon....from climbing in and out of my truck....my OB said I could drive at 2 weeks so I did and ended up back in the hospital for the weekend so the tear could heal.
As for the baths....she told me not to sit in the water since it can get up inside and cause infection, since it is dark in there. I don't normally take them anyway so I didn't mind that part but swimming was out as well and that was hard since I had mine in June and its really hot here then.
I wish you well in your recovery and just take it easy.
